My Nag Champa fragrance contains at least 50% pure essential oils including Turmeric, Patchouli, Frankincense, Amyris (West Indian Sandalwood) and just a touch of Birch Tar. I have created my own using a phthalate free base fragrance. I have tested a lot of Champaka and Nag Champa fragrance. Of course, the Sandalwood I purchase is Phthalate free. That is why the nag Champa I make and almost all people sell is a fragrance oil and not an essential oil. Therefore it is an endangered tree and even if it was affordable, it wouldn’t be good to purchase it at this time. ![]() Sandalwood is one of the most expensive woods in the world, the scent of it being one of the most sought after for centuries. Sandalwood Champaka, the scent of magnolia, or plumeria is always subtly present as is other resins and scents like patchouli, myrrh and amber. The scent of sandalwood is always predominate in Nag Champa. Each temple had their own secret and sacred formula. Nag Champa as it exists today originally came to us from Hindu or Buddhist monasteries of India and Nepal. Incense was used for pleasure and offerings to gods even before the Egyptians. Incense and variations of Nag Champa have been around for thousands of years. If you love incense, Nag Champa fragrance is the one you are probably seeking. ![]()
